The Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics focuses on developing skilled professionals in fisheries extension, economics, statistics, marketing, policy, ICT, and social development. The Department promotes sustainable fisheries, entrepreneurship, research, and the socio-economic development of fishing and aquaculture communities. The department’s vision is to become a centre of excellence in fisheries extension, economics, statistics, policy, and marketing for sustainable, inclusive, and economically viable fisheries and aquaculture development.
