Department of Aquaculture (AQC)

DEPARTMENT OF AQUACULTURE

Sustainable aquatic animal production, aquaculture technology, research and skill development

Department of Aquaculture

Department of Aquaculture at the College of Fisheries Science, DUVASU, Mathura, is an emerging academic, research and extension unit dedicated to the science and technology of sustainable aquatic animal production. The department integrates fundamental principles of aquatic biology with applied aquaculture technologies to develop skilled fisheries professionals capable of addressing contemporary challenges in fish production, seed quality, nutrition, genetics, water quality and resource-efficient aquaculture.

Department of Aquaculture

Mission

  • To provide quality education and practical training in sustainable aquaculture.
  • To promote innovative, productive and environmentally responsible aquaculture research.
  • To facilitate technology transfer, entrepreneurship and capacity building for stakeholders.
  • To strengthen academic, research and industry linkages for food security and livelihood enhancement.
